Withdrawal - The compound effects

Hi all, Feeling pretty crap today on day four. Walking back home a few minutes ago it occurred to me that besides the withdrawal (which is fading) one has the remnants of how crap one was feeling when one decided to quit - the main motivator for many of us - as well as new brain chemistry and metabolism kicking in. It really is quite a cocktail when you think about it!

Head feels like mush today and I am looking forward to a better day!

A passing thought as my neurons fire at random!

I find it very important in the first few weeks to try to eat as healthy as possible. You'll feel a lot better if you avoid crap food. Because as you said your system is in chaos. I've always found things like fish and vegetables and cheese to be better. Won't play around with your blood sugar as much

Yes, you have it. For me anyway.
Keep those thoughts in mind and realize you'll never have to feel that way again. Like a disease healing. Maybe it is.

It's been working for me for over four years now. And when I need a reminder, daily usualy, I come here and read about it. Always new folks coming in kind enough to let me know what it's like, 'out there'.
I hope none of us here has to go back. One day at a time.
