Tough Times

The Earth is experiencing a severe geomagnetic storm right now, and I have noticed that emotions tend to run high at these times. This is the strongest storm of the current (11-year) solar cycle, and northern lights were observed in several states this morning. Effects of the storm may be visible into tonight in some parts of the world.

So this is a reminder that there are things we can't control, but relapse we can control, so never let it start and it won't get out of control.

it's also a great reminder that tonight instead of drinking.... a good idea might be to go to bed early and get up in the middle of the night or the early morning hours and go to a field or a shoreline and look for auroras.

As long as it doesn't cause that subduction zone to come to life, I'm good. (I live near you.)

I like the way they describe it as a "flare" or coronal "outburst."

So, the sun is having a moment.

Well, the geomagnetic storm is continuing (and I just saw another post from someone who has relapsed). Be on guard, and look up at the sky!

And don't forget it's St. Patrick's Day. Stars are flashing & people are howling! I hope everyone's buckled in for the rest of this part of the ride.

Nice post! Thank you. Too much light pollution and clouds for me to see anything, drat it!
