You sound like you have a sensible head on your shoulders, Kafkaesque and that you really want this. If you do, you can have it. You sound like you know your own mind and have already identified your friend as a trigger to you. I really hope that she gets the help that she needs. As you and I both know, being caught in the throes of active addiction is a horrible place to be. Look after yourself, surround yourself with good people, keep talking and stay strong. You can do this! :-)
