I live in a 2 University town where the St. Paddy's celebrations are second only to downtown Toronto.
Can't wait to see the 6 o'clock news tomorrow with the news of what went down this year.
They've been preparing for this day for the last 2 months.

(Former) big time Guiness drinker here too.
It was probably my most sensible drink tbf. Although would drink 16-24 cans of it at one point, 8 was only an aperitif.

I mean I would listen to it when drinking, then again thats a bit of an oxymoron as when wasn't I drinking and what didn't I listen to

I used to drink with an old fella when I was a young lad actually, a few of us did- well we were more into skinning up in those days but he would be smashed on the cider/wine and blasting out the Pogues all night.
He's a good skin, have to say though that we didn't appreciate the songs as much then as I do now, we were only young. Too cool for school. The Auld Triangle and A Pair of Brown Eyes would be my picks after that.

Used my Irish heritage to drink a lot on St. Patrick's Day. Used my Irish heritage to drink a lot of Guinness year-round. Ever since I quit drinking, I've pretty much ignored the holiday. In 2016, I vow to celebrate my Irish heritage again… sober.
