Two years...
Two years...
Two years sober today.
The key for me has been wanting to be sober more than I want to be drunk, and being willing to do whatever it takes in order to stay that way.
That has included visiting SR every day and learning from the honesty, open-mindedness, and perseverance of all the members here. This place is truly an amazing resource. The members who share their stories and the moderators who help make it happen have my endless gratitude.
If you're new and you're wondering whether sobriety is right for you... well... all I can say is that I heartily recommend it!

Congrats!
I had the same experience about doing whatever it takes. Contented sobriety is not for those who need it or even want it. It is for those who do the work.
I will forever be grateful for making that decision. Thank you for sharing that!!
