41 days sober and im feeling good
I havn't been on here for a while but i finally managed to get back on the sober journey. I know its only just about 6 weeks but so far so good.
But then again i always do feel good around this time, its usually around week 12 that i slip up. However this time im determined not to let those annoying thoughts get to me.
Something i will say, and its something some of u guys warned me about, was not to put off quitting alcohol on a certain date. I planned my last drink at christmas which inevitably carried on through new year and even the whole of january. I must have been deluding myself i dont know.
So anyone who keeps putting it off, believe me its a waste of time and it just gets worse.
I think ill be coming on here more often now and hope it adds to my not drinking. This is the best ive felt in probably 5 years if im honest. My depression is pretty much gone, ive got all my motivation back for stuff like exercising and healthy eating and im even learning a new language which even 18 months ago when i felt really bad would have sounded ridiculous.
Ive had longer sober streaks over the last 5 years but its my overall mental health thats giving me this confidence that i can really do it this time.
