7 months -- Feeling Stronger and Optimistic
Hey SR peeps.
Haven't been here in a bit so checking in. 7 months sober and I'm feeling stronger and optimistic about life. Thanks to my creator, AA, all of you at SR and me doing the footwork needed. Easy? Nope. there have been days that I had to go hour by hour(if not minute by minute) to keep my alcoholic demons at bay. If you are new--you can do this and I can tell you that it is worth it. Feeling calm and clear when I wake up--instead of being shaky, or wondering what I did or just plain always feeling tired and totally isolated. I didn't lose my job or go to jail--but I had totally lost me and was empty, soul sick and on the path to losing ,my job-probably my life. Taking baby steps now to rebuild a social life and being gentle on myself that its ok to go slow some days. Life is awesome -even when its hard or sad. Problems didn't go away and I have tons of rebuilding to do but I'll tackle it--one day at a time. Peace and Hug to all
