he has said himself that he realizes he can't be a normal drinker. And oh so recently his involvement with alcohol also involved the police, wrecked car and whatever else he can't remember. how big of a step do you think it is from two beers to another one of "those" incidents?

Mamba, it's easier to stay out that it is to get out and you know in your heart that trouble is waiting for you.

Are you prepared to spend years being romantically involved with an active problem drinker? If you aren't prepared, and if you plan on continuing the relationship, then I suggest you get prepared because IMO that is exactly the path your partner is going to take.

I wish you luck with this, but do you really need a person who is barely fighting their own battle with alcohol in your life right now?
