Day 20...and the best reward ever!

Today..for the first time in 2 years, my daughter trusted me with my precious 3yr old grandson on my own for the day. Even though she made the offer l know it must have been incredibly hard for her and her partner. I am just so grateful and happy that my sobriety has allowed me this opportunity and never, ever want to go back to that horrible, selfish, disgusting mess that l was. I want to live to see my grandson grow up, and he deserves to have the happy, healthy, funny, energetic and sober grandma that he had today, all the time. I truly feel blessed.

What a lovery and uplifting post. It is fantastic that you have gained her trust and you get the time to spend with your grandson. And you know what? I'm sure he is just as thrilled.
