Sorry Jeni i feel strongly on this because i hear it a lot and 5000% sympathise with you

if you want to talk you can send a pm whenever you want
I don't feel I can insist on anything. This is his house as much as mine. He hasn't been any trouble since he started drinking again...yet. I've some not so great memories about his previous drinking, but if he stays like this, drunk but happy, I feel there is little I can or should do about it.

Hi Jeni ,
mum is drinking here too …

Mex-m8 went out last weekend as his friend from Australia was over … I just told him seeing him the next day that the hangover made him look tired, old and wrinkly .. he huffed and puffed at that, said he wasn't going to do it again …

It's only the second time i've known him do it, so it's cool .

Bestwishes, m

Hi Jeni

Your husband sounds like me a few years ago. Don't beat yourself up thinking you "manipulated" your partner, he's over 18 and was probably looking for an excuse to drink. Men are easily lead

I've just finished helping to pack up my youngest daughter's market stall in Camden. It's astonishing what crap tourists will buy.

I used to exist / survive as a drunk, nothing else, but as a sober person I'm rediscovering what a great place London is.

No Hip Hop then if you all insist, but I'm putting on some dubstep....

Hey Jeni, You are doing awesome being very strong and not drinking with them.

Here at our house there isn't no alcohol in the house. I actually prefer that. But when I did drink, I would drink it all before my hubby would get home. It worked for a while until that day.

Hello Jeni, there's a movie called Smashed, its about a young couple of alcoholics, I remembered it when reading your story, its a fun but serious film about the issues that arise when one of them decides to stop. Very entertaining

He's now completely drunk. I'm going to sign off now guys. Thanks so much for the company. I wouldn't want to be him when he wakes up tomorrow with a headache.

If you need anything, we're here.

Way to go. Don't pick up. You're doing yourself GOOD.

I'm lucky that my hubby quit with me.

I'm good thanks MB. Wide awake and ready to face the day. It's Mothers Day here in the UK, so I'm off to see my Mum and cook her some lunch.

Thanks for your support last night my friends. It could so easily have been a different story today.

Jen x

Jeni it sounds like quite the SR hanging together party! I wish I could have joined you but it was 5am when you started.

All my fault I'm afraid.
Jeni you've raised this before. None of us is responsible for another person's drinking unless we are holding them down and pouring it down their throats. You did not manipulate him into drinking, you may have coaxed him but he makes his own decisions.

I hope you are having a good day at your Mum's for Mothering Sunday.
