Why does the media still tell people that vodka doesn't stink to high heaven?

Hi, Kate. Great to see you again.
Another thing I've always wondered about was that after being wasted out, the next day they look like they drank only green tea the night before, and spent a couple of hours in a beauty salon.

Ha ha, yeah, not a hair out of place xx
I don't think it's so much that we've been around it so much.
Vodka smells very strong. It was my choice of poison before I quit.
I can smell alcohol on anybody's breath from a mile away. Even if they haven't had any for hours.

Yep I can smell it easily too but so can my family - my mum could always smell even one drink, my first choice was vodka too and she could always tell.nclose friends too, even though I thought I was fooling them
Definitely not odourless! Even mixed I can smell it strongly

I love this thread. I wasn't a vodka drinker. But I found a great use for it this past monday. My son broke a ball point pen and proceeded to smear black ink all over the back and arms of one of my mother's armchairs. We tried absolutely everything to get it off. Dr. Google suggested rubbing alcohol but my parents didn't have any. They had a tiny bottle of vodka ( they aren't drinkers) which did work quite well. But now the chair has a slight martini odor to it.
Oh yeah, I fell for that myth as well. My partner used to wonder why I smelt so strange (like medicine) but I guess that was moot given my glassy eyes and foggy moods. It smells medicinal to me but more importantly, your breath stinks and you sweat something nasty !
Oh hell yeah! Anything tgat has alcohol in it! Met-spirits too that stuff u use to light a candle. Our town is the drunks town of Australia. Cops guarding the bottle'o shops you have to show your ID to get in to buy some. They used to scan your ID and how much you buy.
Trying to detox here is really hard.

I remember an episode of Beverly Hills 90210 and Dylan got a bit drunk at a party.
The next morning the rest of the crew are coming down on him like a ton of bricks "time to go to rehab"
So off he goes and everyone rallies around and they all lived happily ever after.
So taken aback by this, was I, that I went out and did what any decent alcoholic teenager would do and got thoroughly trolleyed.
