still struggling

Well, I have had a couple of weeks here and a couple of weeks there. Told myself that was progress as I'd been a daily drunk for so long. But I'm still coming back to it and tonight my wife is angry. I would be as angry if I had any sense. Somehow I have to make being quit a done deal.and this has eluded me.

Write down and keep somewhere safe all the reasons inc this as to why you should not drink

Dust yourself off reflect on this see if you can strenghten your sobriety by adding new things to a sober plan

For me its knowing i cant drink safely responsibly or normally it leads to my own personal hell that i hope in my lifetime i never revisit

you can do this Thanos

That final step to never drinking again is hard for some of us. Remember it's not "I'm never going to drink again" as much as it is "I'm choosing a life that is full and feels good" then you realize you're rewarding yourself and not in any way shape or form punishing yourself you realize your'e doing it for you and you do feel better.

I hope you do this for you - that you want to feel good and clear headed.

Peace

Hi Thanos, sorry to hear that you are struggling. But its common. I will say this, I love my wife more than anything in the world, and when she started sleeping in the extra bedroom, and said she was going to leave me, I quit drinking real quick. I not only did it for her, but for myself. And my life improved greatly from then on. I still drink on weekends, and am trying to quit that as well. I feel your pain, I wish you the best.
