Day 21
It's day 21 part of me wonders why I'm doing this. Just going through the motions of the day. Days like today I wonder what's the sense. My life seems dull and boring. I'm sad. I so liked my life before.
I realised when I quit drinking that my life was already dull and boring, all I did was drink, so stopping simply exposed how uneventful and uninteresting my life already was!!
Hang in there, it does get better!!

I'm almost 2 months sober and in that time I've been mostly isolated on my days off from work. Between being snowed in and now having my car in the shop I've been spending most of my time at home. Same thing I'd be doing if I was drinking.
At first it did seem dull and I had to find things to do. Reading and exercising were huge for me. Watching movies and shows on netflix. Getting creative in the kitchen. But sometime in the last month or so that started to shift. I'm now pretty comfortable just relaxing and doing not too much of anything. I look forward to those "dull" days where nothing much happens.
Give it some time. It's an adjustment to have to deal with average days without the "excitement" of alcohol, but most people do it everyday.
