120 days I have 120 days of sobriety today. I believe this is the longest I've been intentionally sober in 20 years. Back when I was struggling along trying to find something that would work I would see people with this much sobriety, and it seemed impossible for me. If you're new to sobriety, then please know that if I can do this then you can too. I know all about feelings of being trapped, powerlessness and hopelessness. I don't have any big insights or inspirations to share with you. You get here by not drinking today - not even when you're sad or mad or happy or angry or tired or depressed or when every nerve in your body is screaming out for a drink - you just don't drink today. |

Well said Lance and congratulations on 120 days. The simplicity of don't drink no matter what was something I had trouble grasping at first. |

Fantastic. Congratulations :-) |
Way to go. I always wanted to drink when the evil sadness came after me. Thanks for your post. |

Thanks lance and for setting a shining example.. |
Congratulations Lance that is awesome. To all that are new to being sober, I have a question for you. Do you find it difficult to go to places where everyone expects you to drink? I mean there are times that that's the only reason you go... say after work for drinks. What do you do? |
Great Job Lance! |
