fizzled out
Hi I am new here, in a weird mode where even a little bit of partying makes me feel horrible but at the same time I forgot all the normal stuff I used to enjoy, I feel pretty stuck and don't like being in a negative mindframe, my withdrawal has been pretty annoying, hoping talking about it will help, I am that person that a lot of people feel is really put together but it's not true anymore

Thanks my mind is pretty jumbled today and I am surprised to be here, I keep a lot inside, just hoping I can turn a corner and get focus back, I feel like I have lived in an alternative universe for the past couple years with all the stuff I have done but now nothing works and I want to stop
Hi Joe,
Welcome to SR. Keep coming back.
I understand that stuck feeling. I had it about 3 months in my sobriety and then again at about the six month mark. After doing everything with a drink in my hand, (well almost) it took me some time to figure out where I was and who's skin I was in again. For awhile too, I felt sorta "flatlined." It takes a little bit od time to start feeling things naturally and not in a fog. After I got used to it, it was actually a breath of fresh air knowing I could do anything I wanted without worrying about being drunk or messed up. It was exhilarating. I got out of myself, tried new things, started meeting new people and actually FELT for a change. Give yourself time and soon you'll find yourself unstuck. It also helps to think Positive- Draw Positive.

Thanks everyone I will check back in tomorrow night after work, hopefully posting will help me re wire some neurons in my brain so that I can get back to where I need to be and out of this brain fog
I think it will help, joedilla. You're talking to people who really understand what you're going through. I hear you about the alternate universe. When I realized it was time to come back to Earth, I was scared. When I found SR I was no longer alone. Glad to have you here.
