Having been sober for a month, back in January I lost my job.

I tried drinking every night with no effect.

The fact that I couldnt get drunk, meant I didnt cause any problems due to being sober, but it made me realise, if I was going to sort out my problems I would have to do it sober.

I have found a new job, but it was a difficult time, it felt like I was locked in a prison of sobriety, then I realised my body was sending me a message:

"If you cant stop drinking, then I will stop the drink from working".

Thank you bossy body. It won anyway, like it or not I am sober and have to deal with my problems like an adult, instead of hitting the bottle looking for answers.

Feeling locked in a prison of sobriety ? ive never felt that way about sobriety alcohol was my prison

it also sounds like kindling effect your describing

There are no answers in a bottle best to accept that not only will it be like that every time you drink that it will get worse

have you revised your sober plan do you plan on doing more for your sobriety ?
