Someone asked me who I really was
TDG,
Bill Wilson:
“You can’t think your way into right action, but you can act your way into right thinking.”
or
Marshawn Lynch:
"I'm just about that action boss"
Those quotes pretty much sum up what I finally had to do to get sober. I could think about it, talk about it, plan it out, but ultimately I didn't get sober until I was just about that action boss.

I am happy being me I am working on inpatient or outpatient, I am medicated and sane, and do what I can. Nothing more or less, all the talk about the past, I am not living the past but I do have the right to defend myself.
You've defended yourself Jeremy, and at some length now.
Honestly, I feel that to continue to defend yourself might take up time energy and focus you'd be better to devote to your recovery.
I was sober a long time before people stopped bringing up my past. I knew the only way to answer that was to not answer it at all but to show I'd changed. No words - action.
It's not a fresh start if you're still stuck in yesterday - yeah?

No need to defend yourself or talk about the past, but I would sure love to see an honest and direct answer to scotts question.
