Normal pattern for where im at?

I just wanted to throw this out there and compare. Most days are very smooth now, and I love that. I notice that if there is an issue, fight with significant other, disagreement at work, etc. I become anxious the entire day and night of the incident followed by a day of, I don't know...depression maybe? I wind up feeling very down and defeated the next day, like an emotional hangover. The committee in my head also chimes up during this time and it's surprisingly quiet anymore. Anyone remember this at 5 months?

I was still set off my things at 5 months, even minor things. I really felt like a drama queen. I think you will level off, it just takes time. Work on finding some kind of "center", or a focus, maybe a key thought that will keep you grounded when you start feeling anxious.

Dealing with my emotions and feelings were a huge challenge even up to month 5, the reason probably was I'd used alcohol for so long I needed to relearn how to live without it.

It's not going to happen overnight, but putting a few more tools in the toolbox of life is the aim, something other than alcohol, we don't have to accept stress and feeling down all day, instead we can do other things, I go for long walks in the fresh air after a bad day, or have some me time on my own to relax with a book and a coffee.

Hang in there!! :)

Exercise can be a very effective way to deal with typical daily stress in a positive way.

I noticed personally that I ruminate a LOT on silly things.
