An Exciting Pain in the Arse this is.

First time Poster.
Looking here for 3 days now.
Like this place.

Been drinking for over 25 years.
Started getting headaches while drinking.
Tried to hydrate, tried to eat more.

Every 3rd or 5th beer led to headaches.
Last one was 4 hours long.
Couldn't shake it.

Finally decided to stop.
Been 6 days down now.
Sleep 2 hours.
Get up with headache for 1 hour.
Repeat.
Repeat.

Hoping tonight is better.
Eating a bit better.

Feeling better.
Eyes opening up.

Wife thinks it's funny and doesn't understand.
Thought I was nicer Drunk.
I was sedated and comfortable.
Now, I'm just more observant.

Better waking up without that slight hangover.
Yet, still with these headaches and slight hangover feelings.

I can do this.
I am doing this.

Welcome me!

I used to get headaches when I was younger.
Then they stopped.
There was / is stress BC of Money things.

Actually the Headaches lead me to exercise to fight them.

But I tell you if they last too long, I'll have to seek advice.

Damn Obamacare.
I make too much to qualify.
Yet I make just enough to survive.

Thanks for the welcomes.

Hi there Absentia.

I hated the headaches - not sure when they went away but I really don't get them much anymore. Soberwolf told me about this cool strips that you put on your head and I have to say they worked. Who knows why and I think I looked a bit silly with them on my forehead but they worked. Look into them. CoolStrips - I'll go look it up

Wonderful news Absentia. 14 days sober - granted, not much fun :) in the beginning, but it will not always feel this way. The anxiety will lessen, you will sleep - and everything will get easier.

Soberwolf 03-07-2015 02:23 PM

Congrats on your 2 weeks Absentia

Congrats on two weeks sober! :) It will get better. :)

Thepatman 03-07-2015 03:46 PM

Of course you are doing this. You decided enough is enough and nothing will stand between you and sobriety.

You will start feeling like a new you in a short while. Go go go!
