8 Days is fantastic!!

The body is going to take time to adjust, it can't heal and repair many years of drinking in a week, for the first few weeks my emotions were all over the place, but it gets better!!

Hang in there!!

8 days is great and it's not unusual to feel antsy at that point. Hang in there and you can get past it.

Edwardsc-I thought the first 2 weeks were the hardest. I had to white knuckle it at times during those first two weeks, but it does get easier and it gets better. Keep hanging in there. You're doing awesome at 8 days!

Edward,
being logical with urges....if you haven't yet, go to the secular connections forum and read some AVRT threads; they're in great part about dismantling the illogic of what the mind can whisper or scream in urge-mode.

good going on 8 days

Yeah - I remember going to bed just to have the day end. Then it starts getting a little better each day. Any book you want to read? or movie you really want to see? That helped a little for me.

It takes time to start feeling good again. Give yourself good food, rest, and moderate exercise. It will get better.
