Day 3
Unfortunately, isn't starting off as leisurely as yesterday and will probably be more stressful: includes a potentially challenging meeting in the middle of a long day. I am going to remember heartcore's advice-I don't have to fix everything. And, if need be, I will whisper"not my monkey, not my circus"88 times under my breathe
Planned a nice walk after the meeting with a good friend (getting outside always helps). I will eat well today and remind myself that my favorite ice cream is waiting for me in the freezer when I get home.
Hope all of you have a good day.

Ice cream's always good. I started Spanish evening classes on Tuesday evening and the main thing I learned from this week was how to order ice cream in Spanish

I still can't believe I let five months of sobriety slip through my fingers: it really hurts, but I can't dwell on it in an unproductive way. If it humbles me in a way that makes me learn something than I just have to embrace that.
Esspee, I don't know what it says about me, but I can order ice cream in Spanish, Italian and French (probably could also figure out a way to do it in Latin--that would be funny).

Great job! Working through day 2 here. I think when my head becomes more clear and I'm really on the path to thinking well again I might be able to dredge up my three years of high school Latin. Thank you, Jesuits!
Day 3 as well, Matilda.
I'm sitting here thinking how nice it is not to be hungover. I can put more than 3 words together when I talk, for one thing.
I walk a fair amount, but I've slacked off a little over the past year. I'm going to do more of it again. I love to do it, and it keeps me from thinking about booze.
