Perspective

Today at work I found out one of my employees has between 6 months and 2 years due to an aggressive cancer. She previously found out about the cancer but just got some treatment options from her doctor. This has the whole office torn up and I'm struggling with it big time.

One thing that has jumped out at me in all this is how precious life is and should be enjoyed with friends, family, co-workers, etc. Ironically this is something I've been working on during sobriety, but this heartbreaking news really underscores it.

Live in the moment and enjoy all life has to offer!

Thank you, Plure, for sharing that. My thoughts are with your colleague and all of you at your office.

These kind of things are rough, cause we attend to drink to hide everything. Now since you are sober and have a new perspective of life, all you can do is to be with her/him to go through this terriable thing she/he has.
