Thank you for your kind responses everyone.
The voice was telling me to have a drink this evening but I've stayed strong, instead have just put on a movie and will relax for the remainder of the evening.
I spoke to a good friend earlier about the problems I've been having, I feel so much better after talking to her. I still feel really embarrassed about last night but I have decided to stop worrying about it all and to put it behind me and move forward. I can't change the past but I can change the future.
