New here, looking for support
best message to teach the young ones
rather than go down in the family history books
as the drunk that never got sober
we can be noted as the one who Overcame
a great message to teach our children
when things come up in life that are not in God's will for us
we can turn away from the problem and be Overcomes

Hi Jackria, WELCOME to SR!!! It's a wonderful bunch of people, and so much support if you want it. I'm still in early days but as someone else said, what you need is a rock solid plan of action. I've learned that it isn't enough to just want to quit, even to REALLY want to quit. You need to go at it practically. For me, I'm using AA, but that's not the only option,,as you will see on SR.
Maybe come and with a plan, and share it on the forum. It's good to make yourself accountable, and it might propmt some good tips as well.
Whatever you do - go for it, and well done!

Welcome, Jackria. You sound like you are in a great place to stop- and I hope you do. This is a wonderful place full of support and understanding, come here and post and read as much as you can. It really helps.
I also was just like you! Deciding to draw a line in sand and leave it alone for good is the only way to be free from the shame. I have a young child also. Welcome to SR. Day by day were helping each other stay sober. Glad you are here!
