Haha! I got a Job!
Well it's a temp job through an agency but it is some pretty good experience!
I am slightly scared though because this will be the first time I am going to start the accounting system for a real company instead of a mock company. On top of that I have to be in charge of two other temps that will be doing most of data entry and supervise their work. We have to enter invoices for the past three years also in time for tax season...!!!! This is nerve wrecking for me and exciting. If... no, when I do a good job, this will open up so many doors for me when I complete my assignment
Two things went through my mind. The first, my girlfriend also pointed this out to me, was to not let the excitement get to me and drink. I drink excessively when I am seriously depressed or really excited. But not this time! The second thought: I was absolutely happy that I have been sober these past 18 days and focused on practicing/reviewing my accounting. I have done a couple mock companies recently but now I am going to practice with QuickBooks Online.
I don't usually ask for this because I haven't been fair with God for a long time, but I have started praying for the past 16 days; for those that believe, could you send prayers that I will have all my knowledge be with me and that I do a good job? That would mean the world to me right now. I will pray for myself also
And if you are an accountant and are willing to bounce ideas off me on how to tackle this big project, please let me know!

Many congratulations and prayers too.
I have no doubt your sobriety contributed to you getting the job as the same thing has just happened to me. Keep in your mind what a huge boost this is to future job prospects and what you can do with the extra income. And all because you ARE beating this

Thank you all so very much for saying a prayer for me. It really means a lot!
I re-read my headline and when I re-read "HaHa!" it may come off as mocking (like Nelson) that I have a job and some may not. At the moment I was literally laughing, more nervously than anything, so it just came naturally to share that at that moment. I really hope I didn't offend anyone with that. If I did: I am really sorry about the misunderstanding.

I will keep a lot more income also now that I wont be spending it on beer or bars!
