"You're not you when you're hungry"
Thank you Trachs. I am new to the site and had never heard of HALTS. It makes sense and my instinct tells me you are right. I too live alone, and I it's the continuous loneliness that has made my first week of sobriety unbearable. I drank last night cos I had terrible financial news and after nearly a week sober I felt I just couldn't (under any circumstances) spend another night with personal problems on my own - without my friend the glass of wine. I am hoping my awareness of HALTS will help me...thank you again
Oops I am new to the site and think I just posted to the wrong thread...so having another go!
I wanted to say thank you Trachs...for the post on HALTS. I had never heard about it before. Loneliness is a huge part of my struggle this my first week of sobriety...I gave in last night and had nearly a bottle of red wine on my own. So shameful. I will aim for more awareness in checking out the HALT triggers. Thank you

I was about to say: "We're always here" but that's too close to that creepy doctor from the superhero show.
