Most serious

Good evening. I am 43 years old and I continuously am drinking way too much. Pretty much every day up to or over a 12 pack of beer. Since I was 17 probably. Once I pop a top I know I probably won't stop until the fridge is pretty empty. I have been in denial for a long time. It's gone on too long. My wife God bless her is at her wits end. So am I. Finally. It's only been since Sunday that I had my last beer. I blacked out. I went to the casino and don't really remember anything about it. I must stop and this forum is a great start. I don't feel any withdrawals yet. Saw my doc today and asked for diazapam just in case. But I fee l ok now. Real sick yesterday and slow at work. Everything is suffering.

Welcome. Good move talking to the doc. Withdrawal can be horrible.

Sounds like yoy made it here just in time. I, like you, would drink until it was all gone or passed out... everyday. I've made great strides using this site but has had a few slip ups. There are a lot of good people here. Learn from your mistakes and you can greatly improve thibgs you feel aren't up to snuff.
