Anybody feel like

Talking a cranky, miserable girl through detox? I'm doing it alone and just need some assurance and distraction. I need to feel good about recovery. I'm in about a thousand pieces right now.

Is this your first detox. Why alone.

No, I've done this a few times. I'm fine, just anxious and uncomfortable.

Hi Briar,

I hope you feel better very soon. It's no fun going through detox, but you can do it. Have you talked to your dr?

No, I see my therapist tomorrow. He's a psychologist with my HMO, so he's effectively my doctor. I'll be honest with him.

Try to keep telling yourself the truth. That is that your anxiety and discomfort will not last. You will get through this. Keep talking to us.

Just keep posting and recognise that every hour is an hour closer to things getting that little bit easier. Don't beat yourself up for feeling cranky and awful it's a bloody hard thing to go through but you can do it xx

Its a rough ride but it does end I promise. Focus on the future, I am glad you see your doctor tomorrow. Like you said, be absolutely honest. Good luck, you can do this.

If you don't drink again you never have to go thru this again. It's hard now but it will get better. I promise.

Maybe write about how you feel and be in depth. We have really good forgetters and you can read this if and when you get some crazy idea to drink again...

Love and hugs to you
