Tushar.....do me a favor. Find ONE A.A. meeting to attend, just go once. If you don't leave there feeling like you have found other people who KNOW every thought you have had, every feeling you have had, every shameful moment, every victory, every prayer....then don't go back. I am pretty sure you will be looking for another meeting the next day. I am on day 28. I drank daily, as soon as I was out of work, hit the vodka hard, going through a bottle a night. For 8 months straight I did this. I still get scared, but I can promise you the people in those A.A. rooms.....God help me they know my every fear and every thought and I get more energy and strength from them than I can even tell you. Please try it....one time.....give it a shot. what do you have to lose?

Today Day 4 for me. I am slowly inching out of my hole of shame. I still cringe at the thought of all the bad decisions that I made. I realize I cannot change the past, but can surely set my path for the future. Still have no desire of having any drink. My AV is playing all the scenario where I would like to have alcohol (like my upcoming business trip or vacation later this year). But still comfortably shooting those thoughts down. I made my Big Plan. BTW anyone else tried AVRT here? Would love to hear from you. I have never made such definite plan in the past. Most of the time half-heartedly agreed not to drink without being fully convinced by myself.
Love AVRT...It works for me and it is working for me...It takes drinking of the table altogether as any sort of option, reaction, solution, answer too,....it is not without its challenges, it is important to keep vigilant for your AV ready to run your life back into an alcoholic ditch.
Remember your big plan and never change your mind.
