I agree with Dee. Don't mess around. If think you need help get it asap. Try taking some deep breaths and calm yourself down. I think most of us know what you are going through and it isn't pretty but it doesn't have to be permanent.
Scared, if I didnt know any better, I would swear it was myself talking in a guy form.
You can be happy, stress and pain free. You just have to set your mind to it, take the necessary steps, focus. You said you used to play football, I bet that took a lot of dedication and drive... if you could put that kind of effort into getting on the path to sobriety, I know you'll be successful.
I'm still in very early recovery myself, not even 4 months, so I'm not that great at giving advice, but I feel like if I can do it, anyone can. I'm here if ya want to talk or anything.

I got so blackout drunk last night. Woke up today with so much anxiety and chest tightness. This type of drinking is going to kill me. I see all these people on this forum succeeding while I slowly drink my life away. I'm probably just going to die in my sleep one night and that's it
Scared, I feel for you, I know about those panic attacks.
I know it seems insurmountable right now, but it's not.
It may seem like a lot of us have a strength that you do not possess, but that's not true.
Many, if not all, of us have been exactly where you are now. I know I have.
It starts with making the decision to get sober, whatever it takes, and an active plan that you work every day.
You can do this, you really can.

How are you today Scared?
My man, you are 26, 6'3 and 290 pounds. You have a hole future ahead of you and a physique/genetics going for you.
Count your blessings, kick the the bottle to the curb. Or tackle it football style!
I could almost bet my next pay check, that in a few weeks/months you can be a pilar on SR. Helping others. Make this your final stand, last day one, last time feeling like your dying.
