Hey everybody!!!!! The weasel is back and here to stay! Sorry Trach ... You can still go off the chain if you like.

Had some good laughs catching up. Heard some good support and wise talk.

I see Behan has racked up nearly twenty new posts since Friday! Lol how about we do some encouragement together to hit that 5 k . I am still inching my way there. About two thirds of it I can do. You will get there!

Bimini!!!!!!!!! I missed seeing you around the thread. I am in portland ME. So you are more north? So is Soberclover in VT.

A big welcome to addictguy! Welcome to SR. and the weekender.

The wind is a blowin in these here parts!

Got a new shoulder pad for my violin... I want to start practicing more like LB does with the mandolin... I have only been fiddling with it... HA! Yes pun... Fiddling with it for a while. Time to get serious.

Yeah 2WT... We are gonna have a long mud season this year!

Hey M... Thanks for covering for me! What is so good about the weekender team is how everyone really jumps in and helps support the new folks that show up and provide fodder for the rest of us!

Day off tomorrow... Plan on keeping this line of communication open! So take note and join in!

Chicken in the over... Fresh veggies for latter... I got a peppadew dip I am about to try!

Feel better ruby!

K

Candied bacon.

I'd rather have that dehydrated eggplant recipe we got.

HAH! RIGHT!

Cool dog BiM!!!

And I cannot wait MM for the SNL show tonight!

I worked managing a candy store at 30 Rock during the early 90's and NBC did some work in the shafts that run up and down the building. They left a trap door open in my store and soot settled all over. I came in in the morning and was shocked. They did not send cleaners in enough time so I had my employees and I cleaning like mad people getting the store in order for the weekend. Well NBC came in and apologized and gave me two tickets to see SNL the next day. John Goodman and Garth Brooks. The set is rather tiny... To think all those people there tonight.

I also got behind the scenes access to everything in 30 Rock from a building engineer who I befriended. I put my hand on the SNL stage and looked in the back area as he took me through. What a thrill to have been that close to a place like that.

I also got to see the pastry chefs work in the Rainbow Room and watched the NBC news from the control room. Lots of cool stuff.

Remember to smile today!

LZII - best of them all. Of course. Thank you.

Weirdly, I love LZ, even though I know they use a lot of magical, mystical, (and Lord of the Rings) imagery and language. I'm an enigma.

Back from the sunny (but windy and cold) Carolina coast. Note to self; next Valentine's Day pick a resort with indoor amenities. The big draw of this place was all the outdoor activities - of which we could do none because of the weather. That's a lot of alone time for a couple who have been together 25 years.

Cool dog video Bim.

Hey Bim, you should have been around in the late 70's when I played this acoustic, live.

I might have been there, turtle. I was all over north Florida in the 70s, and who knows? State lines (and everything else) were a bit blurry for me in the 70s.

Hah! Bimini! I love that. State lines and other things.... Classic.

I'm sitting at my parents. Kids playing with cousins. Didn't go to church. I did go to my meeting. One woman there is celebrating her 34th sober anniversary. Wow.

I made waffles this morning when I got back. I'm reading my cooking light magazine with a blurb "Use It Up Challenge: Buttermilk." I used two cups on the waffles. I'm doing well there.

How cold is it? Seems to be the thread theme. Cold. So cold that if you are out for a bit your face gets stiff with cold and its hard to talk.

I'm glad you're back Weasel. I'm off tomorrow too so I will be around. I'm having breakfast with two high school friends. The ones that reminded me that we are now 50 and thus middle aged the last time I saw them :/ I love them dearly even though they don't share in my fantasy that we are immortal. And that is said tongue in cheek. Ultra supportive at my worst times.

So. Time to check on kids.

Hey Sober Enders!
It is spring here today, so I have been spring cleaning. Feels good to get some of the corners aired out. But I have run out of steam and so I am thinking a good curl up with a book will take me through the rest of the afternoon. The library tells me something on my holds list just became available, I shall go check it out. It must have been something I wanted to read if I put my name on the hold list.
I did place my order for seeds, I'm thinking they will arrive before the week ends.
And another postcard....this one is from Belarus!

We're talking about the age of REM and the B52's just getting started. A friend and I used to play around Athens for beer. Two acoustics and a boatload of crazy, drunk, stoned people. We were EPIC!
