Day 2
Hi everyone,
I appreciate all of the support I received after my first SR post yesterday. I'm glad I finally stopped lurking on this forum, took action and began posting. It makes a world of difference. I feel accountable and that's a good thing. Day 1 was a breeze. I went to a F2F LR meeting last night which helped. I could have slept a bit better
but all things considered I feel great today. I was also glad to hear last night at my LR meeting that there will be another meeting added every Thursday evening. So now I will have Monday and Thursday F2F meetings to attend each week. That also holds me accountable because I have gotten to know them and when you talk while looking into their eyes the truth comes out. I know it will be a long journey and there will be ups and downs but I will enjoy the ups and endure the downs.
I'll be leaving home for work soon and will follow up later with a bit of my story, just not sure where to begin. I'll be thinking about it on my commute home.

and great to see you take action by posting and going to a f2f meeting.
Lifering was the perfect place for me; very open-ended and non-judgmental, both in on-line venues (there are many) and f2f.

LR is a great online and F2F if it's in your area tool, just Google "life ring". I've been going to a weekly Monday evening meeting for about 3 or 4 months. They are local very close to where I live. As I mentioned, now they've added a Thursday evening meeting at the same location. So now have 2 F2F LR meetings and daily SR forum readily available.

I appreciate your reply and the knowledge I too can help support people like you in my journey into sobriety. I find posting helps me stay on track and provides accountability. No more lies and hiding my addiction. Keep it up!
