You don't have to leave us. We're here to support you.

SoberLeigh 02-09-2015 02:41 PM

Now is the time to stay and reach out, John.

Hope you stay on.

Soberwolf 02-09-2015 02:46 PM

Its better here to have a support network hopefully speak soon

Thepatman 02-09-2015 03:03 PM

Ok, if you think it will help you remain sober. We will be here and will welcome you with arms opened.

PurpleKnight 02-09-2015 03:22 PM

For me it was having support that created some Sober time for me John.

You don't need to cut off that life line and go at things alone!!

Dee74 02-09-2015 03:25 PM

There's no need to leave John. SR is for people struggling.

Hey John. You are always welcome here, just as anyone who needs support is. And believe it or not, your being here helps others too...even if you aren't sober yet. We have all been there before and we get it...why not put down the bottle and join us.

Anna 02-09-2015 04:46 PM

We're here for you if you're struggling. No need to leave.

strategery 02-09-2015 06:17 PM

Please don't go John.

Lance40 02-09-2015 06:25 PM

Please don't leave. SR is the place to be when you are trying to get some sober time under your belt.

People do not go to the hospital only after they are cured of their disease.

Stay and learn how others have gotten well

Lovesunrises 02-09-2015 06:39 PM

Don't leave John. I came here after relapsing and have been sober for 2 weeks now thanks to the help and support of everyone here.

Zebra1275 02-09-2015 06:41 PM

Leaving a "recovery website" to go off and get sober by yourself, seems illogical to me.

Hevyn 02-09-2015 06:43 PM

I don't want you to leave either John. I wasn't sober when I came here - many of us weren't. We understand how you feel, like no one else can.

Della1968 02-09-2015 06:43 PM

I also relapsed and stayed....this is the main thing that has given me any sober time.

2muchpain 02-09-2015 08:03 PM

You guys are right. Leaving a sober recovery site to get sober makes no sense. I think it's partially pride that made me say what I said. It's also partially to respect others' who have managed to stay sober for a while. I managed to stay sober for a number of months last year and that counts. It's also a habit for me to withdraw when I'm hurting or struggling with something and come out when I'm doing better. Maybe i should do what others have done and post more often, not less. Thanks all for your concern. John

Glad you're going to hang around! How are you doing tonight?

sugarbear1 02-09-2015 08:50 PM

I was on here for 11 years before I could stay stopped.

Stick around!!! We need you!!
