had a chat with my godchild in Holland she knew all that time!

My godchild is 15 luves in Holland me in Australia. Hiw often (well every time!) I have webcammed with them drunk blind drunk and could not recal a word of it.
It seems that one time Intold her (she just told me on messenger on the phone) that I told her I did nit live her!
It brwaks my heart to hear this!
******* alcohol!
I explained to her wat alcohol addiction is abd how it ***** up ones life.
It is 3 am I'm very emotional and sad how could I have ever said such a thing to this gorgeous kid?!

But she is smart she now knows what I went through she understands it and forgave me!
I told her honestly that over the last two years everytime i webcammed with them i was blind drunk and black outs cannot recall a word of it and that I'm genuinly sorry for that.
She accepted the apology and forgave me.
Tonight i xam hardly read the text on my phone that's how tired I am, was the first time I had a good conversation with her SOBER!!! And I will remember this one.
She told me she is proud that I quit and am sober she hopes she will experience a new aunty.
I promised ger she will.
I feel bad saying to her I didn't love her when I was blind drunk a child does not deserve this.

God forgive me please

By staying sober it will be easier to eventually forgive yourself.

We've all said and done things when drinking, we can't go back, so don't beat yourself up!!

The important thing is to write a new chapter in your future, but some distance between our old ways and our new Sober life that we're carving out for ourselves!!

Hang in there!!

If your godchild can forgive you, God has too J - what about forgiving yourself now?

Yeah I will have to I just feel like a fool every single time I called them or webcammed them I was blind what must they have thought of me?!
Wrong image of me BUT
The serenity prayer is popping in my head now.... Can't change the past can change the future God gave me a second chance to show my family (that I miss incredibly much btw havent seen them for 1.5 years!!) that the real Joyce is so much nicer to deal with!

Yes, do what makes you feel best. I'll be thinking of you. I've got a lot of things I feel bad about too. I understand.

I'm glad things are looking up! You can write a new chapter. I've found that people actually get over stuff pretty quickly when we're sober. Drink again and it all comes flooding back.
