I wouldn't go so far as to call it an emotional dependency. I just don't want to make a habit of it. I don't want to fall into the trap of winding myself up with coffee every morning and winding myself down with aspirin every night.

I think I am noticing the effects of the caffeine more now that I am not drinking.

I noticed it more when I stopped drinking, too.
