My 3rd Day 1

I'm sitting here typing this not knowing exactly what to say, all I know right now is that my best chances of success are talking/listening to other sober individuals. I need to know that success is possible, and when I have talked to many of you in the past it felt possible to improve my life. I will be going to AA as soon as my schedule opens up, so likely Thursday. I'm trying really hard to build a healthy support system. I am really sorry for being vague in this post; I just wanted to let you all know I am back, and I am quite embarrassed from failing so it's a bit difficult to gather anymore thoughts to post about. Hope you all have a sober 24.

Glad you're back!!!

There is no reason to be embarrassed - just happy you made it back, that doesn't always happen.

Keep coming back

Support for me was the deal breaker, it gave me a second opinion on things, short circuited my own thoughts when my addicted mind wanted me to drink!!

You can do this Frixion!! :)

Hey, glad you're back. I had my 4th day 1 since joining this site last month. I joined in November 2014. We just gotta keep getting after it.

It's so good to see you Frixion. Embarrassment not necessary here - you know we all understand what you're going through. Glad to have you back and posting - it will help with the anxiety. You can get free. Congrats on your Day 1.

Nobody posting here is failing. The ones who fail wander off and are never heard from again.

I lost track of my day ones. If I can do it, you can do it.

Welcome back to the fight of your life. :You_Rock_

Hey Frixion, good to see you again !

Acceptance is key. If you take alcohol off the table as an option, you then have to find other ways to cope and other things to do. And as scary as that sounds, it is possible.

Hope you stick around, we're all in your corner.
