Day 4. Amazing difference

Wow, I was able to take the day off since I have some unrelated doctor tests. Got like 9 hours of somewhat restless but still decent sleep (except the sweat). Last night I had done step 1 work from my Sponser.

What difference. The sun was out, birds were singing. I listened to the big book audio online laying in bed, then did the 3 s's (shower and shave are two of them). Ate breakfast and felt renewed. I even had hope for our marriage. I left a couple notes that said I love you on her desk etc. I might just be riding the return of endorphins to my brain and in denial, but I KNOW I can do this WITH AA. The marriage is really in Gods hands, but ill do my best.

IF you are on day 1, you can do it. Don't knock AA, and get a Sponser. Don't just half ass it and go to 1 meeting now and then like I started doing before my last bender.

I was in starbucks when I posted that, and got back in line for a refill. In front of me was one of the people I knew from an outpatient recovery group, I had not seen her outside of the group, and not gone to after care in 3 months. A sign? We started talking and I told her about my relapse etc and Ir was really good, she invited me to one of the meetings she goes to. So crazy, helps strengthen my faith.
