I'm back on this site after about two years. This time I'm going to try to only write things that are positive in nature. For now I don't have much to say, I'm just introducing myself so I can get to know other people on this site.

You are free to use SR anyway that helps. However, early recovery is not always flush with things that are positive. A lot of negatives and support is helpful. So don't feel you can't post if you don't have something positive to say. Post when the folks here can help you, when we can talk you off the proverbial ledge and you are thinking of drinking.

I tell myself that I need to keep it positive too but that is not always the case. I do try to be positive but sometimes that is almost impossible! We need support even when all we can do is be negative. Some days are better than others that is just how it goes.

I'm with Carl - a positive outlook is a great thing to aim for, but in the early days sometimes a vent may be needed too :)
