bit of dizzines vertigo

Did anyone else get bouts of a little bit if vertigo/dizziness when they stopped drinking? I went to doc and he said its from gastro...im day 69

Day 69, that's awesome. If the doc is happy you're ok, go with it. Your body must be thanking you for not poisoning it anymore.

I didn't have any dizziness, but not everything is related to alcohol.

I think its anxiety, ive been stressing about various things since quitting. The headache in the back of the heads annoying me, I think this is making me feel a little off balance....

Oh yeah. I thnk it's normal. Not being stoned or in withdrawal leaves all kinds of feelings available.

Me too--less at almost 8 months. I was at a meeting a couple weeks ago and when I stood for coffee had to step forward to catch my balance--still get folks looking in my eyes and shaking hands closer-than-comfortable to maybe get a whiff of something. I'm ok with that as it shows they care. It may take years to get back all my faculties and some may never return. I'm not going to drink over it. Meanwhile I take the probiotic, metamucil and prilosec until I can find a fecal transplant. Flora imbalance is interesting science and showing huge promise. It also just makes sense and I'm all about that.

Yeap I had some spells, but going and getting checked out by a Dr is the best thing to do!!

Great job on Day 69!!
