starting outpatient next week

Went on a two week bender, been sober for 5 days white knuckling it at home. I'm getting worse not better, starting outpatient counseling at a nearby place, it's close enough to my house I can't avoid it, and I gotta try something different before I kill myself. my periods of sobriety were pretty long sometimes but I need more help, thought I could stay sober on my own strength, guess not.

Hey Zeppo my friend, outpatient sounds like a good idea.

Yeah, I had to finally admit I couldn't do this on my own too. Think it's hard for us alcoholics to admit we need help.

But as my counsellor says, everyone needs a helping hand sometimes.

All the best to you Zeppo.

. I see a lot of folks who do outpatient at my AA meetings. You aren't alone in this disease Zeppo. Go for it!

Best of luck to you, Zeppo. Sometimes we just need the additional support and help to guide us through sobriety.

It takes what it takes. There is no weakness in getting help, it takes strength to admit that what you were doing isn't working. Good luck on your journey!
