Thanks, Gilmer!
And thanks, Ruby. I guess I'm struggling with the "why" also, lately.
Thank goodness for all the great people of SR.

mex-m8 has a selfie stick ,,,, hmm thats sounds a bit rude !

I told him about a new "craze" called other-ies where you get your mobile phone and take pictures of other people … he had to think about it a moment before he laughed

Ruby , yer i'm pretty active type but i don't have any problem with downtime . My 4 years in france although quite a bit of it was drunken i also spent a lot of time reading , thinking and not doing much .

Learning how to drop stuff , ideas , thoughts , patterns of thought , irritation was useful and i can usually start my day over anytime i like .

Certainly i struggle to find balance , especially with intensive jobs like this stint has been , 3 of the 8 full time engineers working for the firm i'm working with are out with stress , luckily i'm expert in managing myself in unmanageable situations . What we learn in sobriety can give us real strength in the day to day world .

Great to have you along Leshar drawing on my experience and telling it like it was for the newcomers certainly helps me remember how it was for me ,

g'night everyone , m

Okay, the other day I admit that I was feeding my other secret shameful addiction. I was looking at US magazine at the hair dressers and there was an entire two page spread devoted to celebrities using selfie sticks. Otherwise, I would have to have pled complete ignorance of the concept. Self portraits by the millions. I am either too old, don't watch enough television or go to the movies or listen to the music of the moment because I don't know or really care who three quarters of the people are in the magazines.

Did you all know there is such a thing as Spam lite? I saw it with my own eyes while shopping this afternoon. Pretty crazy stuff.

Daughter is staying over at friends house. I think she's secretly planning to ask them to adopt her.

Time to throw in some laundry. Good to see everyone here tonight. Leshar, we will get through this. Bumps in the road.

Good night Mec and thank you for the laugh out loud. Other-ies! I love it! And wow. Three of eight people out with stress. Sounds like a bear.

Hi Leshar.

You know that acting on the thoughts you commented on always ends in tears, tears that were never meant to be shed.

Stay together. Alone and together.

Ooh, "crazy tasty" too! I took a picture of it on the shelf but I'm afraid if I try posting it you will be treated, yet again, to the falling ice sign.

Finally! It looks like I may have figured this out. PKs is better but I'm just experimenting.

No, apparently I thought I had it figured out. Rats. This is going to annoy me no end. Maybe I should read the manual.
