Cant stop thinking about just doing one more
That's addiction for ya'. Makes you believe things that aren't true.
Yes you can, you just haven't yet
No it's not. It's just bothersome because you'd like it to stop.
The addiction tells you it's more powerful than it is. If you don't do just one more you'll go crazy.
Hogwash. It has no power to make you go insane if you don't drink. It's all lies. Don't believe it, because the truth is if you do one more you'll be right back in this spot a week from now. Best to deal with it now and be done than postpone it some more. It'll go away in a few weeks.

It's driving me crazy

Just think of that voice that tells you to do one more as your addiction. It's not you. Try to think of it as a different person. It's easier to separate yourself from it and the more you say no to it the stronger you get and the weaker it gets. It really only takes a few weeks if you stick to your guns. You'll always have thoughts about using but they become fleeting and easily dismissed
What Dave said is right. It is a separate entity - your ego talking. You need to put it in it's place. What also worked for me was making the decision that drinking was simply "not an option" anymore. So anytime the thought came up I banished it. That has worked for almost 18 months now, along with some other work on the reasons I drank, etc.
Habits are hard to break and that's exactly the problem we are used to doing the things we have done for years, so quitting and doing those things comes with a certain uncomfortableness.
But the longer term benefits will soon start to kick in and new habits will be formed in Sobriety!!

Take the time to build a solid sobriety and support tools so that when she is born, you will continue on your sobriety journey, and be the best mum in the hole world!
