31 days!!
31 days!!
Well I made it past the 30 days mark. LOL. I got my little chip at my noon meeting, worked late, talked to some AA people and pretty much ended my day on that note. I can't believe I've reached 30 days already. What a gift!
It didn't come without struggle but let me tell you the changes I have noticed.
Skin cleared and is brighter
Eyes are clear no more blood shot eyes
Mind is clear and I can actually think and organize my thoughts
Lost weight
Bloat gone
Started taking interests back such as exercise
Making connections with other people instead of isolating
Dark circles under my eyes diminished greatly
Actually taking care of myself like showering and putting myself together
More positive than before/depression is lifting
The 31 days did not come without struggle but I'm really glad that I'm getting some sober time under my belt and healing. I'm a sick person and I know that it's not going to go away over night but I'm thankful that I'm putting in the work and was able to string these days together. I hope that I never have to have a day 1 again by doing it one day at a time.

That's quite an accomplishment. It's good that you realize you still have work to do, but no matter how you look at it, the first 30 days are the toughest. Keep up the good work.. great job!
