I have 122 days but I feel very depressed. Not craving drug or alcohol but sad and fed up. Tired of the "recovery" blahblah. Telling myself that I will never make it anyway. that one of these days, I will use anyway, I don't wan't to be sober anyway. I am just faking it... Anyone felt this way or can identify?

Hopefully there's a part of you that stills wants sobriety. Is there? Or is your AV running the show entirely? Sometimes, when we hold out with the idea of using again stashed away somewhere in the recesses of the mind, there is an amazing tolerance for accruing sober days because we see the end as a reward to use again.

There are tough days and it sounds like your having 1 remember how your feeling now wont last forever

Have you got a trusted friend to do something with ?

Dont underestimate yourself your on 122 days that is proof you can do this

Have you spoke to a Dr ?

I feel like that from time-to-time. For me a couple of things bring this on: (1) the weather (winter blahs), and (2) when I need to just vent and confide in someone and get something off my chest. As someone mentioned above, it won't last forever. When you feel better you will also have the added confidence that you didn't need to numb out to get through it.

There's always going to be a few off days in Sobriety, and today could be one of those!!

There are people struggling to string a week together never mind 122 Days, so give yourself some credit for all that you have achieved!!

It's been a long time but I still get very down at times, especially if I'm poorly. But it always passes and knowing that really helps xxxx
