1 month sober today

Yep, 1 month in or since my relapse even.

Not my greatest ever achievement to date, but it's worth noting how my mind is becoming clearer and the constant negative/self defeating thoughts seem to be on the decline.

I was a couple of months sober before my drink at xmas and I really can't believe how much it set me back overall. I won't be doing that again.

Anyway, I want to credit the site for helping to strengthen my resolve - it's been really invaluable to know for once that I am not alone in this.

Thanks to all, peace

Well done Stratman1, I am again clean 22 days after a relapse after a 2 day bender, this really has set me back, I was clean a Month previously and did this before... same result but so much longer to recover this time, headache, feel just terrible today, and now determined for it never to happen again. How do you intend to walk the path? Good Luck

Thanks folks. How do I intend to walk the path? Well really I am not looking too far ahead, I'm quite prone to bouts of depression so I'm managing that right now as best I can.

I'm starting to read recovery based stuff in the cold light of day as I am no longer in denial. Apart from that I have learned to stop looking back, and looking forward is not what it used to be for me either.

So one day at a time I guess, and thats about it for now. Peace
