I should be happy but instead the last 3 days have been hell. I got a really bad cold so im ill and down in the dumps...I feel everyday im sober im getting worse like constantly grumpy, dont care about anything, not enjoying life, was invited out this weekend twice and bailed twice because I feel like **** and dont even care what I look like nor do I feel like putting make up on or clothes...I dont get it I feel like a slob who should be feeling energized not down. My mind is constantly in a state of fuzzyness and forgetting stuff... school tommorow and im already not looking forward to communicating with people. I really dont get how my first week I felt great and now I feel just as ****** as when I drank. Anyways ho hum.
Early recovery is about a lot of ups and downs. A lot of people find this transition phase very hard.
I promise you tho = stick with it Rocky - things can and do get better
If you feel you might be depressed it might be worth considering seeing a Dr. some time?
Congrats on your 2 weeks

Rocky, I think the first month I went to bed half the nights at 7:30, just throwing the covers over my head. Now, four months in, I can tell you that things do get brighter. Don't get me wrong: there are datys (and there are DAYS), but on the whole things are so much better, so much more joyful.
Cheering for you!
Cheering for you!

Well done on 14 days hun that's an awesome feat. And, I can relate to the up and down feelings too. What is helping me right now is making a concerted effort to feel better even if I don't feel like it. Tiny tiny things all begin to add up. Add a bit of brute force girl, you can do this
