Day 1
I found it helpful to plan something other than going straight home after work, when you normally couldn't drink. Eating a good meal at a restaurant fixes me up for that ride home. If you can, post here before you get off from work, we can support you.

I have a couple friends who are gonna text me right before the end of work. Im confident. I want this bad. Mostly worried about withdrawals. I plan to keep a close eye on my hands fore shakes. First sign of shakes/if there is any. I'll go to the hospital.

Thats a good idea, also try drinking calming/soothing teas. I spent all night the first three nights just scrolling through stories. Also got on youtube and listened to some AA speakers that were posted there. Anything to keep my mind busy.
vendetta,
it can help to change things up: plan a different way home from work.
do a different activity. plan something you enjoy for your evening...maybe a movie, or cook a good meal and buy the ingredients, have a bath, clean out the laundry room, go to a meeting...
that kind of stuff. concrete plans were very helpful to me when i wasn't sure how things would go.
