Hi Welcome,
We all came here desperate, I'm new to being sober, but reading and posting helps ALOT.
I would love to go to rehab, but can't afford, lots of people here have good advice.
Take care xoxo

Just wanted to say goodluck I detoxed from alcohol a few times in the ER, I don't know if it's different where you are (I'm in Australia) but surely they could at least point you in the right direction/organise some help?
Hey, there is free help out there, salvation army is a good start. I had a close friend of mine get hooked on meth once and went a lot of years, and it isn't something you can just quit. It is too physically addictive.
Posting here is good for you, we all have been in similar situations. You are NOT alone and no one here will judge you at all. We want our friends to get better, and you are among friends here.

You can get info on free help in your state by dialling "211" on a phone from a phone that has california area code or you can type 211 + your state in a search engine on the internet and you should be able to seek help with various issues. There should be a link specifically for substance abuse. If you want to use an old resource find a phone book with "blue page" section to look up agencies for assist with substance abuse. The NA intergroup for NA in your area may also be able to help identify free detoxes/rehabs. You posted here, that's a great start.

It is really hard. You are correct but it is so hard because you are addicted. If you weren't you could just stop and you know already that you can't manage that. We are all addicts some more recovered than others.
Some struggling.
Some teaching.
Those struggling are teaching.
There are recovered meth addicts here to prove it can be done.
