Getting a little easier every day
A word to the new people it gets a little better each day and each situation. Yesterday I got together with my friends to watch football. I have been avoiding it since I quit because I didn't want to answer questions. Well it came up right away and I was honest about why I quit. After the pack lost one of my friends looked at me and said "it's all your fault" "quitting drinking" lol huge smile. I told him I was sober for the super bowl won in 96 (I was 12 years old) and everyone had a laugh..... I was dreading being judged but in the end they simply didn't care if I was drinking a beer or an odouls it was the same. Blessed to have good friends.

All that's left to face as far as my normal "drinking occasions" is fishing (which I already drank NA beer usually due to dui risk) and camping... Feeling. Pretty good.... Also finding other drinks than NA beer as well and drinking bless liquids overall trying to break that habit.... As I said before staying off alcohol is the goal but breaking the habit of having a drink in my hand is a bonus.... Went from 24 NA beers a week just a month ago (I was drinking 30-36 beers a week not including random gas station tall boys) to less than a 12 pack since New Years (I think I have one left in that 12 pack ).... F
It sure does get easier and things like your favorite football team losing hurts less for some reason. It makes all thr joys better and for some reason for me makes the pains easier to deal with probably because I am not in a rage.
