Early morning riser

Now that I'm sober, I find myself waking earlier and without the irritability & headache.I have so much to do today, & tonight will be another alcohol-free night.Tomorrow I can do this all over again, the possibilities are endless when I'm sober. Thanks everyone! Mike

5:30 am for me, occasionally sleep in until 5:45 or 6. Love the early morning quiet and waking with no regrets or shame regarding the night before. Thanks for the post, Mike

I was always waking up early when I was drinking. But it was out of panic and then I would go into hyperactivity trying to figure out what I did or said the night before, all the while promising myself that this was Day 1. After the first AM frenzy, I just wanted to drink and I did.

Today, Day 8, I am up early with coffee and grateful for some peaceful time. Last night was the first time I slept without waking.

I am still struggling with fatigue though. Maybe that will improve with time!

Thank you for your post...very affirming.

Waking up feeling refreshed is what I love the most. Having some peace and quiet to myself is awesome. Cheers to fresh coffee in the morning too! Isn't it great knowing that there are endless possibilities sober?
